my second ever job, I worked for an independent home audio-video store and installer (yes, it was quite a while ago) and they had one of these for the company van (yes a manual!)... When it was loaded down with 1000lbs of stereo gear and/or a GIANT 36" tube TV, the lack of weight over the front wheels meant you could smoke the tires all the way through 2nd gear and if the road surface was low-friction, well into 3rd! It was a laugh riot. He had heavy springs and anti-sways on it too, since it was used for actual load carying, and it handled surprisingly well for a van... I mean you could see the chassis flex in the review mirror while you went around corners, and it understeered pretty badly, but it didn't feel like it was going to fall over on its side like a stock one... We used to beat the piss out of that thing... It burned a lot of oil...for reasons...

Those ARE rare and can be boosted to insane power (for a minivan). Those vans were also very lightweight and you can make great power/weight. There are/were a bunch of boosted turbo Caravans on the internet. I’ve never seen one in person. A long time ago, I tried to turbo my V6 Caravan - didn’t end well - 3.3 Chrysler engines don’t take to boost. Nice price.

It's tempting me more than a minivan ever has haha, it would be so much fun to confuse all the jdm bros around here. Sadly it'll have to be someone else's because I can't get a third vehicle :/

I would be buying it already if I could, but I don’t have the space or money for another car, I'm spreading myself thin with two already :p But it is tempting me to sell one and buy it instead, because when will I ever see this again

We had the non-turbo version of this. Painfully slow. Also, it had no tachometer. The two large gauges were the speedo, and an enormous Fuel gauge. Instead of a tach, there was a light-green shift/idiot light when the RPM began to get high. Also the shifter was way too short. You basically had to lean over to the right in order to shift, while extending your left leg to depress the clutch.
